Samba Night at Plataforma
Enjoy the greatest and the most famous show of the authentic Brazilian folklore!
Thirty beautiful "mulata-dancers" together with a competent male cast, take a cultural journey within the popular Brazilian music. It all started when the Portuguese settlers couldn't impose their habits, religion or slavery on the natives that used to live free on the shores and rain forests of their land. The only way found by the settlers was to bring Africans for labor, which besides the workforce brought also their culture.
The grand finale, with a parade of luxurious costumes with the colors of the Brazilian flag: green (the forests), yellow (the gold and the wealth of the country), blue (the sky and the constellation of the Southern Cross) and the white (peace) emphasizing some important personalities of the Brazilian History.
Rio Scenarium

Located in a renovated warehouse on the edge of Lapa, Rio Scenarium is an antique store-turned-bar. All the items you see are part of the inventory and many of its props have been used on movie sets. Head up to the second floor and you'll even find the full contents of an old-fashioned pharmacy, furniture, carriages, and many more items. This lovely building is the perfect setting for traditional Brazilian samba and choro. The acoustics are excellent and the tables centered around the stage and dance floor give everybody a great view. The caipirinhas are the drink of choice and the snack menu offers better-than-average munchies. Click here to take a virtual tour of Rio Scenarium.
